Here's a better pic. I don't know why it always thumbnails the pics. BTW, I call that pic "Frankenspine".

Thanks a lot for the well wishes. I do appreciate it. Yesterday (Sunday) was pretty bad pain wise. The doc said day 3 is usually the worst. Today is day 4 and still in a lot of pain, but it does seem to be a bit better.

Yes, he knew it was a cyst going it. You could easily see it on the MRI. I was shocked at how anything got through as badly as the nerve was pinched off. Literally 80% of the opening for the spinal cord was taken up by the cyst. The cyst turned out to be just a big glob of overgrown ligaments. They had to remove some of the bone to get to the ligaments. Thank God for Oxycodone.

I opted not to have the two vertebras fused with the titanium "X Stop" piece. Yes, I know it increases my chances of needing surgery again in the future, but my hope is that if I need surgery again in the future technology will have improved.

I am/was very happy with my doc. He's the first one that properly diagnosed me and seemed to really know what he's doing.

All for now, sorry but I have to go lay down for a while LOL....

Just got back from the doctors and the biopsy and sonagram I did last week came back negitive. They are coming up with the conclusion that all I have is Progarf poisioning which is one of the antirejection drugs I was on. As of today I'm no longer taking the Prograf and they put me on Rapamune to see if my levels change. They also took me off 4 other meds that I was on because that was also interferring with the kidney.

Put a 50 in your hand with a 150 lb tuna screaming and you'll heal right up. When I had my transplant last year they told me not to do any lifting or work for at least 4 months. Well....I had the operation on Oct 12, 06 and Jan 19, 07 I was in Venice La. getting my ass kid by 100 lb tuna.
You'll be back on your feet in no time........

If I'm understanding correctly that sounds like good news Fernando. I like your rehab regimen!
