Tough decision, isn't it? I just had back surgery yesterday. I'm doing better than I expected, but I may have to cancel my tee time for tomorrow LOL.....

I didn't have a discectomy, I had a laminectomy and cyst removal. I had a cyst of overgrown ligaments that was taking up 80% of the spinal canal pinching off my nerves at the L2-L3. My leg pain and numbness is already gone and it's only been one day.

I'm in some significant pain today, but not nearly as bad as I've felt in the past. I can move around. I think it's going to be a success, but time will tell.

Were they aware of the cyst before they went in or did they find it in the course of surgery and changed how and what they did?
