Update: I just talked to the car / boat dealership were the boat is supposed to be. They sold the boat last week and thanked me for the information. They would contact ebay, and by the way would I like to buy another whaler?

Well believe it or not, but he must have 2 of these great deals! Since he is meeting me in a van down by the river. He said I can't see the boat until after I pay for it. Seems trustworthy!!

Scary part is, there are people out there that would fall for that scam!!!

I called the dealer just for **** and giggles, and they said they sold the whaler last week for $18,000. Still seems like a good deal.

She said they had a 20 foot pro line in stock if I was interested. She said they have had a lot of people recently trading in boats for cars.

Interesting!!! Guess that's what the winter does!!!

I want to leave ebay out of this. I would like to leave a deposit via PayPal. If you don't want to go with PayPal I can express mail you a check for the full amount of $10,000.00. However I would like you to send me a refund check back for the amount of $8000.00. Keep the $2000.00 as deposit. I need to send you a check for that amount because of a banking problem I'm going thru.

Right now i'm in United Kingdom so if you want to buy it you will have to make a deposit before i get back to close the deal so i can be sure you are a serious buyer.

I would much rather keep ebay out of our transaction, why pay them a percentage when we don't need to. Are you close to the boat? If so I can come over and pay cash. My guess is you would rather have cash, I can however if you insist give you a bank check.
