It is being a good season. A lot of the teams that are usually strong are not and it has given a lot of other teams a chance. I come from USC country and am happy if they just beat UCLA and some school from back east who's name I can't remember. They must not be able to remember either, because I don't ever remember everybody beating the Irish.

But it does you heart good to see that team not being the "Golden children". I guess it comes from back in the Holtz days where folks got fed up with them being the "Favorite sons" so to speak.

I live in the Baton Rouge area so I see LOTS of "Die hard" LSU fans. Me I just like seeing a GOOD hard fought game no matter who is playin. (As long as that "Irish team" gets beat)

But I DO favor the teams in the SEC when they are playin folks from another conferance.
