ok Keltons 5th grade class is doing the science fair...i need some suggestions as to what you all have done or seen done!! if you have a idea please feel free to tell me what and how you would do it!! here is a site they gave us..it has so much stuff on it that i dont know where to start.....http://www.sciserv.org/isef/students...categories.asp

NO LIQUIDS
NO ELECTRICITY(BATTERIES CAN BE USED)
NO SOIL,ROCKS OR MINERALS
NO SHARP OBJECTS
NO FOOD ITEMS
NO LIVE PLANTS
AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST NO FIREWORKS OR FIREARMS/WEAPON.....GO FIGURE

My son just completed his, grade 5. He tested the actual break strength of 20lb Sufix Braid. His assumption was that the braid would hold more pulling power then 20lbs and tested length of 10', 20' & 30'.

Last year he tested 4 different brands of mono all the same pound test (i.e. 8lb) for there break point.

What other details would you need?
