Went pull the boat out last night and trailer it back, it is well inland now at the house. Bluewater is really at it pulling lots of the bigger boats. All the lots in Wanchese are filling up fast. It doesn't look good as of the last update. I saw quite a few campers leaving and a few boats when I left at 8pm. This storm worries me. Those that stay please be safe. If it was me I dont think I would hang around. I hope it doesn't happen but if this storm takes the path they say the boats that are up on the hard in Wanchese will be piled like cord wood when this is over. I sure hope it changes course............Mark

Yea Dave the Insurance wouldnt really cover everything so it was worth the fuel to make the drive. It was hopping in Wanchese. Got back to the house at 1:00am. the good thing is there was no traffic. Good of you to let Alan keep his boat at your house ..... .Mark

Wish I could have gone down and got it for him. I have plenty of room. Anyone else needs to store their boat here is welcome to.

Stay safe everyone! As luck would have it, I had my boat trailered to Florida on Sunday. Still have the house to worry about...

I'm prolly getting out of here...envisioning three days of no power. Paul has a genset up in Smithfield, so I'll be hanging there if I leave. Problem is always getting back on the beach if you do leave, but my current thinking is if I'm here, then I'll have to go back to work! If I can't get back on I might actually get a few days off!

I had a friend pull mine off the lift and place it on my tralier Wednesday. Rode down there yesterday after a business meeting in Richmond and moved it over to the Broad Creek yard after the locals said it would be fine. Got home aroudn 8 last night and while eating dinner and watching the news realized I made a bad decision leaving it. Left at 10.45 to go get it, just got to the office at 6.30..long night of driving but peace of mind. Needed some gel coat work and a wax job so it's not all bad

Also wanted to comment that I was extremely surprised at the number of houses and business that had not boarded up. If it comes close to the projected path it will wreck havac
