We fished around Maw PT , It was my first drum trip this year, not bad for the first trip. There were boats all over the place.I would say, just pick a place, deep or shallow. We fish both areas ,done about the same .

Thanks for the info, fished around oyster creek and pamlico point last night and had 2 big rays and a mystery run-off. I guess I should have kept going south. Are you ya'll fishing any specific type of bottom? soft, hard, ledges, oysters? maybe try again next week. Bay river is a long a** ride for us.

Hey crab,
We were fishing a slow drop from 10 to 14 ft, and setup right at 12 ft. fished 5pm to 10pm.
the friend i went with, went friday and saturday and had good fish both nights. 4 fri and 6 saturday Germantown area, 14 ft in the light and about 8ft in the dark. again thanks for the help, it's a brand new fishery for me.
It takes me and hour to get to North creek. You know the weather down there, sometimes that run into the main part of the sound is a little bumpy for an 18ft skiff and can get right snotty quickly, that night was a little wet. I"ll be back.

Glad you caught some REDS,I also went fri and sat ,my crew and I caught 6 fish and lost 2 both nights. I'm glad to hear that some REDS have should up on the north side of the sound . You now there is a ramp in Germantown,it's not the best but it's a ramp.Yehh I got caught in the storm friday night ,that was a long ride back to north creek from bay river.
