Default Whining

I hate to be a whiner,,,,kind of a wino but don't like to be the whiner,,,,,but this heat wave we're having here is friggin killing us. It's too hot to go out an do anything even on the water. I live on Camano Island, surrounded by water, almost in Canada, and it's 98 here right now in my yard and tomorrow is supposed to be hotter, and Thursday is going to be the hottest one. Hottest spell in 40 years they're saying. I know you guys down in the Carolinas get hot weather, almost sub tropical but man around here it just kicks everybody's asses. There,,,,I'm through

Actually, it has been a relatively cool summer in the east this year. Not very many days have gotten over 90*. I feel your pain, though, 98* is way hot.

The west side of our house, 2 story, faces west so we get the last of the sun, and the hottest part of the day here in the Puget Sound area is about 5:00 p.m. It's 90 in the house right now but we get very few days like this, and it's only expected to last 4 or 5 more days. I'll miss it come winter

It's not that bad here in Texas , it's barely over a 100, summer will be here soon though.

I'll admit it,,,I don't handle it too well after not being in it all that much. Triple digits today, and I don't like it. But then again that's why I live here and not there

I hear ya. I'm just injecting a little humor in there...

One of the times I was up in your neck of the woods (Olympus International Pro-Rallys) yall were havin a "Heat wave" according to the locals. Well this web-toed-swamp-rat from Louisiana sure had some fun with the guys and gals from the area I was around. I had no idea it was a heat wave. I thought it was fairly nice compared to how it was at home (Louisiana) at the time.

Then it was funny as heck when one of the guys from up there was complaining about how HARD it was raining. Surprised the heck out of me cause here we would call the rain that was falling a "Heavy Drizzle"....... We call a "Normal" afternoon shower rain falling at 1"-2" an hour. A HEAVY rain is one over 3" a hour....

But I'll say one thing for sure, YAll DO have some mighty pretty counrty over there.

One of these days I may get back up there.

I spent my first 36 years in Ketchikan Alaska, averages about 175 inches a year and it's not abnormal in the summertime to see less than 10 clear sunny days....the rain is usually falling sideways. I've been gone for some years, but still around here when people talk about how much rain we get I laugh,,,,they don't have a clue here. Triple digits for heat yesterday and today,,,,tomorrow we get a break. You must mean the Olympics,,,,,that is on the Olympic Penninsula and you may have been over in Forks or that area. There can be some good salmon and steelhead fishing over there, I've never been in your neck of the woods

Actually the hotel we stayed at each year was in "Olympia" WA. Could see Mt. Rainier out of my hotel window.

The rally had stages on both sides of the sound.

I have been over a lot of area around Bremerton, Rochester, Centrailia and even up around Port Angeles, WA.....
