Angry Finches...

Went home this past weekend to perform my best attempt at being a best man. That went well, so Sunday after the grogginess wore off I called a fellow groomsman and told him to come on over and we'd go for the first ride of the season. Hitched her up, turned it around in the driveway and hopped up there to see what winter did to the decks; that's when I heard it.

Sounded like baby birds. Coming from my electronics box. Loudly.

Got my fiancee/nature lover out to investigate and discovered 3 baby finches and while we were standing there watched 2 momma/daddy finches going in and out. I didn't have the heart to do anything about it so I just left the boat in its new spot 180deg and 25' from where it was and unhitched. Hopefully them suckers are flying by the time I get done with exams.

To top it all off we decided since we were itching to do something we'd head to the range. Got there to find a sign on the door: "Closed for CHP class, Sorry for the inconvenience."

Great day!

Well I heard my last exam should finish up about 9pm on Saturday night...which means if all goes well me and my summer belongings will be pulling into either my parents driveway or my fiancee's driveway sometime in the wee hours of Sunday morning. Weather dependent, those birds are learning to fly sometime Sunday afternoon, or they're learning to love boating...I'll let them chose.
