Pretty much went without a hitch. Sea trailed the boat for about 15 minutes. A sprint to WOT on flat water yielded 6200 RPM at 49.7 MPH. That was with 2 onboard (400lbs) and 60 gallons of fuel. Their are also 2 group 31 AGM's.
While on the water Rick and I noticed no speed was give via the Smartcraft, only from my Garmin 498C. I had instructed them to hook my Garmin up to the Standard Horizon VHF so I could use the DCS feature. I also requested them to do the same on the Garmin to Smartcraft. We brought the boat back to the shop were 2 guys started to work on it. Everything had been wired correct however it turns out the Garmin must be reset to FACTORY DEFAULTS, just in case anyone else is planning to do this.
I was surprised by one thing, The transom drain is the type you install one of those rubber plugs that you turn to expand and tighten. This is done from the outside of the boat. I'd had never seen this setup before.
The boat did have one small problem that was not picked until late yesterday while they were cleaning it. Their is a small star burst, almost like crack you would see on a car windshield on the port side on the folding rear deck. I frankly had to look twice to see it. This was caused by a screw that was sunk to far in from the other side. They have contacted BW and the whole deck is going to be replaced.
I'd like to thank Rick at Island Marine for making the purchase painless. I'd buy from them again in a heartbeat.
I'd also like to thank Glen and the others from the Verado site that have answered my Verado question over the last few months
