Finally put a ring on the little lady's finger after dating non-stop since 7th grade. Might be looking at getting married down your way Matt/Chris...next June.

She's in med school so she currently doesn't do much of anything. She likes fishing just not offshore...at least not out of a small boat like mine. That just means she'll have to finance a bigger one ASAP.

And yes June '10.

Atypical is probably a good way to describe us. Graduted 1-2 from high school (my speech was better) and both went to Tech where we ended up on the same floor of the same dorm freshman year.

Dave: I hope to end up here in the long run, but if in the short term her residency or a job offer on my end takes us elsewhere, that's fine. I'd welcome a change of pace, but only in the short term (3-5 years). I really want to find some land near home (Suffolk), but the prices are outrageous...NE NC presents some better opportunities in terms of land prices, but less in the way of job opportunities.

We'll see. She'll be at EVMS in Norfolk for at least another 2 or 3 years, so for that span I'll either be in Blacksburg (till Dec) or hopefully gainfully employed in Hampton Roads.

The boat is all fixed up, but now my Suburban has finally decided to show its 200,000 miles and start acting funny, so it being held hostage by mechanical troubles in Blacksburg and the boat is just sitting in the driveway in Suffolk. Sat there the entire week for spring break and then last weekend we had a pretty Sunday and I had no way to get the boat into the H2O. Such is life. I did take advantage of the pretty weather on Sunday to propose though
