Lester: Progress on the boat is good. I'm back in Maui for a week getting stuff here sorted out. But the Venture is coming along well. There a 5 major project areas: The windlass, the arch, dive ladders, electronics and the trailerIt is sitting on blocks so I can change the bunks on the trailer. I did the Jupiter with crosswise bunks instead of longways and it went on and off the trailer great. It is often windy in Maui, so the Venture gets the same treatment. The windlass is coming along well and is nearly done. The arch is on order and should be in in two weeks. The dive ladders are at about the 40 percent point, so I think I can have the boat ready to ship by 12/1.

A good friend invited me to go diving today and it was a reminder of how much I like the diving here. The high point of the day was running into a small white tip reef shark (about 30 inches) that got very mad about us being in his territory. The pectorals were down and the back was arched and he was going back and forth in front of us like mad. I don't know why that seems fun or entertaining, but it was like been threatened by a Chihuahua.

KernO , I work for a small city here in Texas and when I first started I would have to help read meters sometimes and the only dog bite I have ever gotten was from a Taco Bell dog and the little bugger made me bleed.
I bet I looked funny trying to stomp on that little dog with paper flying everywhere.

swordfight The dog won.
