Default No Fishing Leads To THIS!!

A week and a half ago while sitting in a local pub a friend of mine informed me that I would be joining him and a few friends this Saturday for some skydiving. After a few cc's I said what the heck, why not. My wife looked at me as if I lost my mind, but here are some shots from SkyDive City in Zephyrhills. I think my buddy thought I would back out!

This was Paul, the video and photographer

This is Manny, the instructor that I was to tandem with- he's got over 5000 jumps- I felt safe

It was to late to turn back at this point, alot went though my mind and the thought of What the heck was I thinking!! came mixing in with those thoughts

This is really where I had second thoughts!!

At 13,500ft Too LATE Now!!

Coming in for the landing

Happy to be standing

What a rush that was, I also have a good video, just need to figure out how to save on my computer so I can upload it. I must say it was a thrill of a lifetime and those folks at SkyDive City are great and keep you relaxed as much as possible. Thanks Manny and Paul for a flight I'll never forget. Next up is the wife, can't wait to see that.

Here is the Video: YouTube - Eric's jump at Skydive City-Zephyrhills 2/28/09

NO WAY!! Does that jump suit come with diapers? I'd need 'em.

Great Pictures!! I understand that is a great ride. The Admiral made a tandem jump like that couple years ago. She had been talking about it so it was Xmas from the kids. We made it a family affair with picnic lunch, etc., so at least we were together.. All went well and we also have some good pics...
Not for Me!!!
Regards,

I can't seem to bring myself to jump out of a perfectly good airplane.

No diapers needed. After I agreed to do this, I looked online at their skydive site to see how the landing was, that was my biggest fear until last saturday when I was at that open door. After that it was all down from there and it was not as bad as I thought it may be. To tell you the truth it was not long ago I had a fear of flying but I've overcome that with the 14hr flights to Norway and the flights from on YellowAir taxi from Naples to Key West. Guess I change with age.

Jeff, guess I'll see ya in Marco?? You guys fishin?

I don't think it does change with age. I am older than you and you'd have to tie me up and toss me out of the airplane. It is weird, cause I'll jump over the side of a boat in 6000 feet of water and never think twice about it.
