Pacific Fins Resort - wot happened?

Inquiring minds want to know.....what's going on with Pacific Fins Resort in Guatemala?

In December we all got a message that Ron Hamlin had quit and gone over to Casa Vieja. Then nothing - no responses to emails to Fins. A couple people here said they never received their deposits back. So are they the classic rip-off - running a lodge into the ground, not paying their bills......

Alf - I'm one of those guys who got screwed by them. We're still waiting on our $5100 deposit, less $600cancellation fee. And, I'm PISSED!!!

How can they legally with hold our money?

Matt - They can't. File a complaint with your state's attorney general office, with the Florida state ag's office and with the bureau of consumer affairs. The latter two are on the web.
