Default Motor trim

I have a yammies 225 and I'm having problem raising the motor. I noticed that one of the cylinders is leaking oil. Are these easily fixable or do I have to take to a mechanic

Fernando where is it leaking?? I just replaced the two seals around the piston on my port motor. It was leaking where the piston goes up and down in the cylinder Very easy to do. You will need the two seals and a spanner wrench to remove the cap where the piston is. If that is where it is leaking let me know and i will give you a call to tell you how to replace the seals....Mark

First raise the motors and rest them on the fold down foot.
Lower the trim till the ram is low enough to take the screw on cap off.
Use a spanner wrench and remove the cap.
Remove and replace the two seals in the cap and reinstall the cap.
Tighten cap with spanner wrench.
Fill the trim tilt reservoir
There will be enough fluid in the reservoir to raise the motor to flip the foot up.
Lower the motor by using the release valve on the port side of the motor this will let out the air.
Raise the motor back up fill the reservoir and lower again using the release valve.
Repeat three or four times until the reservoir stays full.
You are now a certified trim and tilt specialist!!! Mark

The reservoir fill is right next to the trim and tilt cylinder it has a small cap you can unscrew. You have to use a fill bottle with a tiny tip. Put the cap back on the reservior between cycles. I used one of those Shimano oil tubes you get with the reels...Mark
