please guys send out prayers to our friends over on THT "fearnaut and sshiela") they are evacuated from the the fires in california....im sure they will be here with us as soon as they can get back home safely!!

they are at a hotel and i think we as respectable people should send a prayer for their safe return!!

Seems they may be getting the fires "under control" now that the winds died down. It's amazing they said 2 days ago they had hurricane force winds.

I don't think I want to live in California. They have Earthquakes and Wildfires to worry about.

I will stick with the hurricanes if I must, atleast with those we have a warning system!

My sisters' house is up just off Big Rock Road in Malibu (nice view of Catalina Island on a clear day) and they went back home yesterday afternoon. I think the fires got within a mile of her place. Hopefully the winds will stay down.

We have some friends down near San Diego and as of this morning one of the fires was within 3 miles of their home. Hope the wind lays dwon today so they can get the some of the fires contained......Mark
