Default In Memory of Marty McMillan (Ironwoodtuna)

I just got an email from one of our brother site AluminumAlloyBoats.com that a member of both TBR & AAB passed away today in a fishing accident. At this time we do not have that much information, but here's a post that I took from AAB.

At 10 AM this morning on channel 16, Capt. Johnny DeMaio from the Vivienne try to save a fisherman that went overboard at the rips, The fisherman was Marty MacMillan , Johnny D found Marty, and try to revive Marty but was too late, Marty was fishing with his son 16 y/o Cody when the accident happen , Marty was a surfcaster before he went into boating. Marty docked his boat at Westlake Marina.

With this sad & tradeic news, all of us at TBR send sends our condolences to Marty's family! If there's anything we can do please let us know.

Matt

Man, that's hard to believe. It's hard to believe that someone that experienced could be gone like that. I really enjoyed reading his fishing stories, and was always amazed at how many spreader bars he would pull behind his boat. RIP Marty, and condolences to his family

I'm sad beyond words.........Marty was one of the great ones and he will be sorely missed by all.

I guess we can all be thankful that at least he went doing what he loved doing the most - fishing...with his son. I'm so sorry Cody. Just know that your dad loved you more than you can imagine and he'll always be with you in spirit.

Tightlines Marty - till we meet again ~
