iPhone anyone?

The blackberry died and I decided to go ahead and get an iPhone instead of another blackberry.

I think I made the right decision, but I"m not 100% sure as of yet. The thing I loved about my blackberry is as soon as I got an email it came through on my blackberry instantly. So far it looks as though that isn't going to happen with the iPhone.

I am looking into MobileMe, but I'm wondering if that only works for the @me.com account. Or if it works for all.

Anyone?

Your gonna love it. I've had mine since March. I just went thru my settings, I thought their was someplace you could set the email to check every so often, guess not. I don't really use mind for receiving and sending email that much. The Apps are GREAT. I have about 60 downloaded to the phone, along with 1200 photos and 8 gigs of music.

To things you need to do, Call the 800 number to Apple and ask. Second use the link I supplied below. Apples customer service is second to none, their web site is also very good.

Do yourself a HUGE I'm mean HUGE favor and get yourself a good case. I have my phone in an Otter Box defender case. It adds some bulk and weight but considering I've dropped the phone 3X on the ground and once in a 5 gallon buck of water and the phone works like day one says something about the case. The case is 2 parts, a bit of a PITA to put together but well worth it. I've know 2 people who have dropped and cracked their screen, your shit out of luck when that happens.

My buddy was here tonight screwing with his iPhone and I asked him if there was any way to get the email instantly and he said something about 'push' (gotta get the server to "push" the email rather than wait for the phone to "pull" it.) No clue how to do that, but he said that's the key...his gets it automatically.

Matt, let us know how the new Iphone holds up. My wife had the first generation model and it went back twice and now dead again. Got her a new Sprint phone. I had a blackberry myself and could not kill it. I had the Nextel 7100i and just switched to the new Treo 800. Taking some getting used to. I want the new touch screen blackberry but wrong service.

Matt just sold his phone on ebay. He got a great price.

I've had my phone since Feb 07, not one bit of trouble. I just downloaded 2.2 it has some nice features.
