Why I gave up fishing:
I got up at 4 am and quietly got dressed and made my way to the garage. I loaded the ice chest into the boat, made sure I had everything and opened the door. I knew it had been raining, but at that point it was pouring and the wind was blowing at about 40 mph.
I thought about it for a couple minutes and closed the door. I then made my way quietly back into the bedroom and climbed back in bed. I snuggled up to my wife of 20 years and said "the weather is terrible". She muttered "Doesn't matter, he's fishing in it anyway".
I never asked and she never said. But I did give up fishing.
