I have a prescription pair of Maui Jim's. They cost something like $450, and my wife bought them for me--but that wasn't what she had in mind. She was putting money in a Flex Health Savings account, because she wanted me to get a hearing aid. Well, to make a long story short--she had to spend the money at the end of the policy period and when I went to get my hearing checked, they told me my hearing was indeed a bit compromised, but it was too good for hearing aids to do me much good. So--I asked my wife if I could have some prescription sunglasses. Since, it was that or just let the money go, I got them. They are very nice, I can see color on the fish in the water as soon as Capt. Fred with his Costas, although I think the Costas with the 580 lenses are better. Also, I broke the bridge on the glassses and MJ's fixed them for the cost of shipping--$7. That's hard to beat.

I have 2 pairs of Ocean Waves Atlantic Beach and love them. I've had 1 pair for about 4 years and the other for 3. One I use for driving, the other is on the boat. I find their customer service great. I dropped my 1st pair after owning them about 6 months, lens came out and broke. I sent a check for 6 bucks and the glasses back and received my glasses back in 5 days

Having your lifejackets on board and not wearing them is like putting your seatbelt on during a car accident.

I used to laugh at spending a lot on sunglasses...until I did 5-6 years ago. Good glasses are worth the money in seeing fish inshore and low eye fatigue offshore. Can't be out without good ones now. Got some 580's last year....they are the real deal like Chris said.
