Bull , he will be in Irvine , I grew up in El Toro . He is 100 miles north of San Diego .

But hey thats only 1.5 hr drive South , I did it every other weekend .

It would be worth the trip to fish off of Diego.

Bull & Welder,

From what you all said and the researching via the net I think San diego will be the destination for fishing. 100 miles really isn't nothing.

thanks for the input

Good point BS, I forgot about the trips down south. I always fished in the Catalina Channel or Santa Monica Bay. It is great if you want to catch what you should not eat. Fish with three eyes and hairy moles...........

I lived in Santa Monica for two years and the we fished on the Excell out of Fisherman's landing when ever we could. Fantastic crew and they will put you on the fish..We used to go on the multiple day trips.Biggest Tuna I ever caught was on that boat....Mark

A major reason why I left the other site.....

Two posters in this thread not getting along on the other site. Both are great guys.

Now they're getting along together, and giving each other helpful advice.

Thank you Jeff and Robert, respectively.

This forum is great.
