Who here on this froum owns a business and what type.
I'll start
For the past 7 years I've owned a excavating/land clearing business in Sarasota, Fl. Things were really good until the real estate dropped.......... and now they suck.
I moved the business up to Gulfport Mississippi hoping to cash in on the Katrina rebuild with a builder from Florida. Things are a little slow here too but he's working on a contract to build 200 homes soon to start in about 3 weeks.
With that being slow I bought a auto salvage and recycling yard where we recycle car parts (junk yard) and buy and sell scrap metal. I'm also working on getting a internet store up for selling new and used car parts.
What about you guys.................

Be carefull.......I'm going somewhere with this !!!!!!!!!!!!

My wife is a manager in a direct sales company. I split my time between helping her out and taking care of my kiddos. We're actually in SLC this weekend, we just conducted a training seminar for her team out here. We run a full time office with three employees out of our home. She is 1099 from the company, so since we get to mostly run things how we want, its certainly our own business

Ive had my own business for the past 25 years. Wholesale Custom Jewelry and Jewelry Repair Shop. We do Custom and Repair other retailers also for friends. See Fernando we are both in the scrap metals business!!.......Mark

Full time student, NC State. Working now for RBC wealth management but not quite sure it beats getting paid to fish like last summer

I own 2 pizza shops and I can tell you SH!T REALLY SUCKS right now and for last 10 months, I have had my stores for sale for almost 4 months and not one phone call.

Used too, computer sales and service, but then I got me some young kids and a nine to five job. Quit that because of the time constraints.

I'll get back at it shortly here. Thinking computer salvage, corporate auctions, piecing them together with a small 30 day warranty, straight to ebay or craigslist with the refurbs.

The propane biz keeps my bills paid for now, but it won't last long. The kids get older by the day, as they get older, I need more money!
