Default Forest fires and smoke on OBX

What's the deal? We drive up this weekend. Plan to make Greenville on Saturday night and continue in on Sunday morning. Anyone know the name of the hotel right off 64 at one of the Greenville exits?

Thanks
Greg

Just depends on the wind. It was really smoky this am in Elizabeth City with a NW wind from blowing smoke from VA. I heard it was really thick through the Alligator River Refuge. Its still burning pretty strong. Cant help ya with the hotel.

It can be a problem if the wind is just right, but I think that the recent rains have helped get everything under control.

The northern fire is the one that is is more smoky, but with the predominant SW wind, the OBX is pretty clear.

Greg, the lawn doesn't look too terrible, definitely not brown.
