Default Anbody coming to NC

I am looking at getting a fighting chair and the cost to ship it are over $500. The chair is in Mass and I was wondering if anyone from this area would be coming to Virginia or NC that wouldn't mind bringing this along? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Where did you get the shipping price from?

Good question on the shipping. I had to ship a 500 lb motor from VA to AZ and it cost right around $300.00. I got several quotes and I think the top was right around $1000.00as I recall. I was really suprised at the amount of difference in the prices between the various companies.

$500 seems a lot. Get on line an check with a few shipping companies. I the East coast has ton's of shipper's. My brother just had a $12,000 table saw shipped from Texas to Phila for $435.00 and the things weighs 1100 lbs.

I don't who was going to do the shipping. The guy I was buying it from carried it to a freight company and thats the price he got. I decided not to get the chair due to shipping cost. I hate to ask him to run all over the place trying to find the best price when I am not paying very much for the chair.
