Remember what today is all about!

Well today is Memorial day. We all need to remember what today is all about. That is remembering those who have given so much so we can enjoy the freedoms and lifestyle we do.

IN about a hour there will be three such people at my house munching on BBQ. Both my father and my father-in-law served in WWII. My oldest daughter's fiancé has already done a tour in Iraq and most likely will wind up in Afghanistan after he completes OCS.

Quite an age difference between the three. Two 80 somethings and one 25 years old. But all three were/are willing to give their all for our benefit.

Many guys I knew from school went to Vietnam. (Small school where you had 1st-12th at the same location) Many of those same folks did not come home. Some I know from the area I live in have gone to Iraq, Afghanistan and other places never to return alive.

So today means something to me. How about you???
