Since I fish and boat alone much of the time, I wear a BPS 60 MPH rated one that zips and has straps/buckles while running at speed, then switch to an inflatable for fishing. When the family is with me, we all do. When me and some buddies are out together, no one generally wears one. Probably not a good rationalization there.
I do go through a safety rundown every time I have a new crew member so they know what and where everything safety related is located.
