CAP1 ~ I am really sorry that your co-worker was permanently injured. Such a tragic thing to have happen to ANYONE - much less a man in his prime with a family.

I AM glad that Daddy'O (aka: Crash) wasn't hurt to the point of having to go the ER. I SWEAR I would have called Welder up and made HIM take him. My group KNOWS how I feel about weekend ER trips.

Yep ~ like the Bible says: Pride goeth before a fall. And in some cases - AFTER! HA!!! (Sorry - couldn't resist~)

I had to give up roller skates some years back - along with snow skiing. I had one friend break her ankle BADLY on roller skates and my other friend had to be carted to the ER while we were on a skiing trip with a blown knee. The "good news" is that I learned from THEIR examples. Therefore, the LEAST Daddy'O can do is give up the skateboard. NOW ~ when it comes to FISHIN'...... Well, let's just hope it NEVER comes down to givin' THAT UP!

Now ~ let's everyone get out there and BE CAREFUL but HAVE FUN!!!

My question to you FJ is:

Did you kiss his boobo all better?

OR

Did you give him a swift smack up side the head for trying to be a kid at his age?

Mama always seems to find a way for tough love.

Hi D.

Wayne – AKA Tony Hawk (according to my co-workers)

Likewise, when the trampoline craze was going on back in the 70's it happened to me. I was doing pretty good making flips with the kids when something happened, shot off of that thing spinning like a four way lug wrench and learned you can't land on you feet like a cat .... messed my back up.

FJ: You don't really think any of us grow up and get smarter, do you?

I know I can ride as well as I used to. Now if I could just remember where i put the skateboard.....

What skateboard?

Or maybe I ought to ask: What memory?

I keep wishing this thread would die out....

The head is pretty much healed up, turned out my sunglasses are what caused the mark on my forehead. Similar to a 'rug burn'.

Garett - glad to hear from you! Yepper, Les shared some of your stories with me FJ earlier this week. All, I can say is I'd rather fall off a skateboard!

Wayne
