Default Local cop shot

I am working tonight and I get a call from my daughter telling me that a local cop was shot when he was doing a tracffic stop.Bad thing is,the shooter is on foot around my house. They do have dogs out,a ton of others cops and a couple choppers flying around. Now,I live in a small town and this just doesn't happen here often more or less having a cop shot.I don't think a cop was evr shot here or around this small town.

Well,at the home front,my son is there with the wife and the yard is lit up and my outside dog is there and of course he is a great shot(that is my son).I did tell my son if he hears my dog bark without hearing a car dive up in the driveway, call 911 and Don't go outside. The street I live on is a dead end road and my house is almost 3 miles back down this road with only 2 other houses within a 1000 yards and miles from there. This is a great spot to live till the word got out and now everybody wants to move here. That ain't going to happen!I'm not selling.Anyway,I hope they catch this low life soon. What I hear sofar is that the young cop will most likely not make it.He was shot directly in the neck.May God look over him and his family.I know this young man.He is my daughters age.

Terrible for the family and friends of the officer. Keep an eye out for this scum bucket. Shoot twice and ask questions later.

All my thoughts to the officer and the family. Unfortunately, you hear about stuff like this more and more. Even in "Small Town" America.

Now, I live in Broward County, Fl. and it has become one of the armpits of the country. In some areas, it is like a 3rd World Nation. Starnge place. There are multi-million dollar neighborhoods within walking distance of some of the biggest slums in the country.

Just a couple of months ago, the BSO (Broward Sheriffs Office) was transporting a prisoner to his court date when he overpowered the driver of the van - killed him and escaped. This happened less than a mile from my kids school!

I am a staunch supporter of Law Enforcement, but I have to question why a 73 y/o Sheriff's Deputy was transporting a hard criminal by himself! I have never served one day in Uniform and I know that is just not right!

In our prayers and thoughts. Even sader when you think about the fact that in Easters to come this event will be in his head (gotta be an optimist that he will pull through).
