Local girl makes good! Well, sorta.
It is reported that the now famous Hooker aka "Kristen" lived here on the beach in Kill Devil Hills with her Father (still here) and was a student at Manteo HS her sophmore year. She also worked at a resturant in Corolla where she was described as "very outgoing and good with customers". How bout it Matt? Corolla is your hang-out....

Ha Ha, no I do not remember her, but the rumor on the street was she worked at Corolla Steaks & Subs, which is the Food Lion shopping center.

Great place for some great cheese steaks.

What year was that? Girl I lived with down there worked at some furniture place in Duck and a pizza or sub place in Corolla (I imagine it was longer ago than that...but it would be weird if she knew her or worked with her.)

I know her father very well. He is being hounded by the media everywhere he goes the past few days. He refuses to say anything other than he loves his daughter.

This afternoon a reporter came into my work and walked up to my desk and started asking questions if I knew him. She named him by his company's name. I blew her off and told her I did not know the man.

Poor guy~!! Sucks to be him right about now, eh?

I'm sure that he DOES love his daughter, but man- I'll bet he's NOT too happy about the path she chose.

The good news is - this too shall pass and the media will be onto something else in a week or so.

AMEN Capt Fred!!! I knew even if I had try to say something nice about Billy it would probably be misquoted and I did not want to take that chance. We all know how the media can be. That is why I just played the dumb card and said "I have never heard of him".
