Default North Texas Weather!

It was almost 65 degrees yesterday! This is what happened this afternoon!

All well, it's like they say: "If you don't like the weather in Texas, wait a day!"

So this is how we had fun this afternoon:

Here is my oldest John,

Here he is again

Here is my youngest Wyatt,

Here is Farmerjane - notice her hat

And yours truly,

The boys are out of school tomorrow, so I am anticipating "Snow Circles" in our pastures.

Stay warm...........It's supposed to be near 70 degrees here on Sunday.

Wayne

Oh heck! I can see it now, "Driftin in the drifts".

Yall keep that stuff up there. If we had even that amount of snow the roads in this area would be one HEYALL of a mess with folks "Testing their insurance".

Lester,

Six inches of snow will cushin most anything! Especially their hard heads

SERIOUSLY - you're correct - Safety first, even though it was too cold to ride fast.........Brrrrrrr!

Wayne the safety nerd is in trouble.

Don, no kidding! We don't get much of the white stuff here. It took me 1 and a half hours to get home for a normal 40 minute drive. People either drive too fast, or too slow!

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not a super experienced driver on snow/ice/sleet, but I've done it enough in northern Oklahoma to know my limitations/experierence level and feel comfortable in the stuff.

Heck, I was passing (slowly) 4x4's in my little Honda Accord while the truckers were passing me (a little faster).

I can't count the number of vehicles I saw off the road in my 35 mile trip home from work today as I only have 21 digits.

Be safe, wear a helmet!

Wayne

Well, it's not white sand from Florida,... that's a fact you can be sure of.

I was in Dallas Thursday and spent the night in Canton. I woke up Friday morning with BIG flakes falling fast. I finally ran out of it in Monroe, La. but it never stuck on the road. I heard ya'll were getting it bad up around Denton.

Yeah, go figure ~ by Friday evening we had nearly 8" of the stuff and by 1pm. on Friday most of it was melted. Fun while it lasted. Today was GORGEOUS and sunny and now it's cloudy and thundering.

If you don't like the weather here just give it a few minutes ~

You folks have it easy. I had to fly up to Meredith,NH. for a 2 day meeting. I got up here late yesterday afternoon. My guess is theirs a good 4-5 FEET of snow on the ground. At 6:45 AM I'm sitting here in the Inn lobby and its a chilling 8 degrees. I can't wait to get out of here.

Having your lifejackets on board and not wearing them is like putting your seatbelt on during a car accident.
