Default New Guy from Alabama

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey guys, I was referred to this forum by Bluffman2. Looks great so far. My name is Cliff, I am 36 and from Montgomery, AL. I have fished since I cant remember. Istarted out inshore fishing out of St. Marks when I would visit my dad in the summer. In my 20's, I picked up surf fishing and have done it for about 10 years. I recently bought a 17ft Cobia inshore boat, but have yet to put it in the salt. I really enjoy fishing saltwater, and fish freshwater 2-3 times a week, just to scratch the itch. I picked up flyfishing this summer and it has really taken over my attention, but has not killed my desire for the salt. None of my friends fish, so I spend alot of time lurking the couple of forums that I am on. When it's too dark to fish that is. I dont night fish much. Never caught anything but catfish. Anyway, great to be here and thanks Bluffman for the invite.

Anytime, Anytime. Always glad to help. And always glad to fish! If I can do both at the same time...

I read several books as well. but they really teach you nothing. I spent 20 minutes with an instructor at a Bass Pro Shop clinic and the whole thing just opened up! Definatly find someone local to show you. I am no expert or instructor, but if you are near. I wouldn't mind at all. There's a certain little touch to it. One that happens for you. It is all downhill...
