Name's David Pate. I've been fishing since I was old enough to know what it is. I have my grandpa to thank for that. He used to take us out on his 21 fter and that's how I got the bug. That boat broke down more than it ran, seems like. Anyway, I'm now married, no kids yet(gotta get a boat first!), I drive a USPS truck out of raleighwood, usually headed down to Goldsboro. Used to drive TT's for sysco about 10 years ago.
I'm in the process of trying to learn more about tuna fishing and buy another boat with the necessary equipment. I had a stratos 23 WA that I usually fished out of Bogue inlet for wahoo, dolphin and bottom fishing. I love to come home with a mixed bag! I've been boatless for about 15 months and it's about to kill me! In the meanwhile thx to the guys who've given me rides on their rigs.
Anyone ever up to do some surf fishing( I'm usually on south core), offshore, or flounder gigging , don't hesitate to give me a shout. If I'm breathing salt air, all is right with the world!

Hi I’m Garett,

Oh shucks, who am I? Well, I’m just me. I’ll help as often as I can and without reserve, but I will also be the one to call someone an idiot when no others will.

If the activity is outdoors then count me in. Winter camping is not even out of the question. I guess I was a five sport athlete but I’ve found that hunting, fishing, scuba and swimming is easier on my knees. I certainly try to party like a 25 yr old but I was born the year of the 55 Chevy.

I’ve camped and fished since I was knee high. I’ve owned several canoes and 12 - 14' car toppers (aluminum’s) prior to doing the 10' jump to a glass boat a few yrs ago. I currently own a 24' Grew Weekender (cuddy) which is pretty close to being Great Lakes fishing ready.

Money it seems has never been one of my strongest suits, I had three girls out of wedlock which cost me 20 years of working two full time jobs.....but I am rich with all the women in my life and the Misses and I just bought ourselves a one acre country home. I am a happy man.

I have a lovely wife which has endured me for the past 20 some odd years.....our’s is a traditional marriage....she’ a fine lady which I love dearly. The way I see it, she is a gift from above.

That’s basically me, I love my wife, the outdoors, a good party every now and then and I can pretty much fix or build anything I can think of.

Best regards
Garett

PS. Jane sometimes calls me YAKY!
