Hi All, My name is Marty and I live in both Brick, NJ and Palmetto, Fl. I am a 59 year old retired Emergency Management Cordinator and Public Works Director. I own a small sign and lettering business that two of my three grown son and I run part-time. My sons are 35, 33, & 30. My wife Harriet and I have three grandchildren and a Golden Retriever named Princess and Harriet treats the Golden as our daughter. I also am currently employed by an engineering firm as an on-site construction inspector. I am also an instructor and teach the USCG Captains Licensing course for The Mariners School.

It looks like a nice site her and I think I will be around for a while.

It's a great site!!!

Hey, I'm in Sarasota, about 20 minutes south of your Palmetto spot. What time of the year are you down this way?

When do find time to go on line??? Sounds like you have a plate, quite the retirement. Welcome, seems like a great place when you don't want to argue. Just stay away from that Gordon character (Katkt). He causes trouble everywhere he goes.

Thanks marine, Former Sailor here.

Fortunately most of my sign business is over the internet, so I don't have a lot of actual lettering to do. My two younger sons do a couple of police department and fire departments up in central New Jersey. I have a driving school and boardwalk vendors at the New Jersey shore. The rest, as I said is over the intenet.

The Instructing is on three weekend in a row and I do that every other month or so. My next class is in St. Petersburg starting the 11th of January.

I try to take a month or two off during the winter to go to my Florida home, but that depends on what type of construction job I am on. Right now I am inspecting the construction of 10 county owned buildings being built in Ocean County N.J.

I hope to really retire from everything except the instructing within the next year to year and a half.

Yes, look out for Gordon, he is quite the character!

Jim, any friend or foe of Gordon's is OK with me!

Merry Christmas Gordon & Cheryl!

Hello ya'll. I'm Barry from Gastonia NC. Have been checking the site for a few days and it seems like a good place with good folks. I recognize several names form another site.

I just like to stay low key and learn things to help keep my boat in good shape, and to maybe catch more fish.
