Default I'm new here

Hi all,
New to this site, found it accidentally looking for a small part to a Penn 49 reel I just bought at a garage sale and ended up here, very interesting to read the fishing reports and talk from around the country. I'm an old Alaskan transplanted in Washington State after a couple of great years in Hawaii,

Thanks for the welcome, it'll take a while to figure it out here it seems. This appears to be pretty much primarily eastern seaboard and southeast? Am I fairly correct in saying this? I'll try to keep info coming from this neck of the woods and also what I hear from Alaska. I do know that just the other day they picked up a 65# King Salmon off of Noyes Island west of Prince of Wales Island west of Ketchikan. Noyes is a place I spent much time commercial fishing

Yup, I agree, a hole in the water you can throw money into for sure, but a great way to spend your days never the less. Around here I'd go for any of the Boston Whaler Conquest line 25' and above, or the Bayliner Trophy 25' and above,,,,,perfect for this country. A couple of 225 Mercs for main and a 30 for a kicker!! When I was living in Hawaii, that is a few years back, we fished a 23' Revenge, it did the trick. We did everything from big Marlin to bottom fish, yellowfin, Mahi, Ono, you name it. It was very comfortable 99% of the time as long as we could get out of the heat. We don't have to worry about too much heat here.
