Default Allow me to introduce myself . . .

And if you finished that in your head with lyrics from "Sympathy for the Devil" then you're of my generation.

However...to the point.

I was raised around water all my life without ever truly fishing until I was 50. . . that was 3 1/2 years ago that I wet my first line. I'd lived in such places as Jacksonville, Florida, Morocco, PAX, MD, San Diego, Bermuda, and here in Norfolk (directly across from the Ocean View fishing pier) and never fished. At 50, I had a mid-life crisis. So, I took up fishing. First from piers, then the surf, then freshwater lakes, and now from a boat in the bay and near-shore in the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic. I've loved it all and I don't know where or if it is ever going to end. I now own 70+ Rod/reel combos from ultra-lights to wire-liners and four boats from a 12ft game-fisher to a 21ft Stamas Cuddy Cabin.

And the wife thought this would be cheaper than fast cars and faster women! LOL

At least she enjoys and joins me in my newfound hobby.

I don't know if she'd have done that with fast cars and faster women.

Hmmmm.....

Hello.

Welcome Rory. Lots of real nice folks on here. Remember, sometimes it can be hard for people to find other folks to go out fishing and with the gas costs today lots of us like to have an extra person along. So, if you would like to try fishing with some of the local members be sure to let us know. Feel free to b-mail me your contact info and I'd be glad to bring you along.

I fish out of Hatteras for the most part. 25 foot Hydra-Sport with all the safety equip.
