Just quick howdy

I found this website while browsing looking for info on toyota and the grant given to the audobon society.
I spent last week at hatteras and ocracoke and was frustrated by all the piping plover signs I saw everywhere.
I can say that the beaches were crowded with trucks and suvs all trying to share the same amount of limited space.
I asked a park ranger about the closing and he said it was only until mid august, but THEN the sea turtle season starts. I witnessed this same folly up in washington state with the spotted owl. I recognize we need to save endangered species. However this tasty (lol) little bird isnt even a native of this area. I have to admit I am confused.

This place is not like most other forums. Most of the guys, gals are pretty good people and like to help others out. You have people on here that are beginners, wether boating, fishing or just want to shoot the s%it and you have the crusty salty dogs (me, Red, Mark)
