Default Vehicle Dilemma: Diesel? Gas? Help!!

This is my scenario. My company provides me with a company car. I provide myself with a F-150 to tow the boat in my sig. The car and all of the trimmings ie: fuel, maintenance, etc are obvioulsy all free from work and i flip the bill for the ford which i own. I drive about 55k a year for work in outside sales and about 15k a year on the Ford (10k towing) on the weekend. We are talking serious milage with about 80% either highway or interstate!!

My company is thinking about doing away with company cars and giving all salesman a monthly allowance instead. My two vehicle situation will obviously compact into one do it all vehicle.

OPTION #1
The other salesman at work are thinking about getting compact 4 cylinder cars. They would be under their car allowance and probably make a few bucks but these vehicles wont get my boat towed twice a week. NOT AN OPTION FOR ME!!

OPTION #2
Keep my current F-150 and use it for work and tow.

OPTION #3
Buy a diesel and keep it for 500k if thats poooossible.

Whatever option i choose i will still have the luxury of our company mechanic maintaining my vehicle at the cost of the parts only (brakes, tires, tune ups etc). Oil changes and E-Zpass will still be free. If i go the deisel route fuel will be free as we have our own tank at work to provide fuel for all of our service vehicles.

The diesel route sounds the best but i havent owned one before and they are more expensive. I need the best choice for high milage, fuel economy, towing the boat and most importantly it has to be dependable. If i cant drive i wont make any money.

My 08' F-150 with 17k miles cost me $450.00 a month for the next 3 1/2 years. If i use this for work at the end of the loan (if it makes it that far) id have about 230k on her. Its clearly the easiest option but i am not sure if id make my budget with the cost of fuel. Great truck and i love it but a pig on fuel.

With this kind of milage I know i will be upside down no matter what i choose but just looking for some ideas!!

Any advice??

I would go Cummins in a 2500HD for the Diesel pick.
If the company car will pay for it self , get a small 4 banger and keep your ford for towing. Use the extra money from the small car to help pay for the ford.
