Cool Trailer Bunks

Howdy;
I'm in the process of replacing the carpet on a trailer for a 20' aluminum boat. (Boat WT. 2k) The 2x6 boards are 12' long. I've ordered 3 8' sections of the plastic covers in place of the carpet.
However if I was able to use the stronger version of the plastic 2x6 for bunks it would seem the best of both worlds, boat sliding on the plastic for launch & recovery & never having to replace the bunks.
I'm wondering if the recycled plastic 2x6 planks would support the boat. I've seen some of these decking boards & some of them (ribs on the bottom) are not very structurally sound. I understand there are quite a few different kinds out there.
Anyone have thoughts or advice on this?
Thanks & Stay Safe * Dogrobber

No the recycled plastic 2x6 wont support the weight. They are not for structural support. I have cypress bunks then added 3'4 inch starboard strips on the top of the bunks for slicks. They are two years old and still look like new.

X2 on the cypress , it lasts a looooooong time with little Maint.

Do NOT use pressure treated lumber under your Alloy boat.
