Tundra tailgate handle

I was up in Watson's Crossing, AL. week before last getting in some deer type hunting. It got decently cold while there. Went to let the tailgate down on my 2001 Tundra and the POS plastic pull handle broke off.

Anyone know if a fella can buy just the POS plastic part? I took the whole mechanism out and it looks to be replaceable, but, in todays day and age I am probably going to have to get one from the junk yard or god forbid the Toyota Parts Dept, and they will more than likely want to sell me the whole shooting match.

Any ideers?

Call the dealer anyway you might be suprised , I believe they sell it in pieces.
