Default Official Olympics Thread

Just figured I would start this.

Was watching the 4 x 100 Men's Freestyle Relay last night about 10:30 and I think I woke up the whole house.

For those of you who didn't see it, you must watch.

For those of you who did, I don't think I have ever seen a more exciting race in swimming before with an amazing comeback by the USA!

Michael Phelps was going NUTS as his dream to win 8 Olympic Gold Medals in one Olympics is still alive!!!

I saw it! It was freaking AWESOME!!! I was fighting to stay awake and watch it. After is was over I was wide awake and could not go to sleep. Moments like that is why I watch as much of the Olympics as I can. The look on the French team's faces was PRICELESS!!! After the comments that they made about the U.S. team they deserved the defeat!!!

I have really enjoyed watching the girls beach volleyball also

NBCOlympics.com - U.S. women's eight wins heat, advances to final

The swimming was great. To bad the rowing is only "live" on the web. The finals are Sunday the 17th at 5:20 I believe, which really stinks because will be on the road headed to OBX.

I can't wait to see that gold medal in person

Give her blog a read, its pretty good

Having your lifejackets on board and not wearing them is like putting your seatbelt on during a car accident.
