Well lets start with Saturday's game. It was the first game of the season and the boys hit the ball pretty good. We only had one home run. Our team played some great defense. They even truned a double play which at this age level is pretty impressive. My son had a single,RBI, and one strikeout. They won 7 to 1. Now that the butterflies are out of the way after getting the first game behind us the boys played a great game tonight. They were hitting their little butts off tonight!!! We had a total of three home runs. We had a couple of kids that do not hit the ball very well even get a single tonight. My son went 2 for 2 with an RBI single and a double. They had a 10-0 lead in final inning but they got a little sloppy defensively and gave up a couple of runs. The final score was 10-2. I was really proud of the team tonight. They played a great ball game.

By the way our team is called the "Hooks". It is named after a minor league team from Corpus Christi Texas. We have the coolest logos on our shirts and hats. The logo is simular to this

I coached two years of t-ball, two years of basketball and now little league. I really enjoy it. We have a great group of kids this year.

Well the boys played another outstanding game today. We won 11-0. We had back to back home runs and one of them was grand slam!!!! We are now the only undefeated team at 3-0. My son went 1 out of 3 today with a single and a RBI. The whole team just keeps getting better and better!!! GO HOOKS!!!!

Well I figured I would give another update on the Hooks. We had our sixth game of the season tonight and we are still undefeated! My son Zane went 2 for 2 tonight with two singles and an RBI. He was 3 for 3 in last Saturday's game. This is his first year in little league and he is playing so good. I really look forward to each and every game. The best part of it all is he really loves to play baseball. We have a couple of kids on our team that really do not want to play baseball. They are only playing because their parent/parents want them to. My son is almost 8 years old and has played t-ball, soccer, basketball, and baseball and I have never forced Zane to play any sport. We ask him what he wants to play at the beginning of each season. He knows he does not have to play anything but he also knows if he commits to any sport he has to play the entire season. That our only rule when it comes to him playing sports. All I know is I will be very disappointed when baseball season is over. I have really enjoyed watching him play each and every week. I am really proud of him.

Here is a photo of him just as he is getting a hit a couple of games ago.
