Steve,
Thanks again for that. It is all a bit new to me although I have been on the net since 98. Hard to teach old dogs new tricks I guess. I had captioned each picture with a description but the captions did not appear. Any queries about the build are welcome.

Steve,
Boatbuilder is doing it but I will wire up everything. Using BlueSeas fittings. ICOM M504 VHF. Plotter is Ray C80,sounder is a Furuno 585 with a SS164 Zero Deg transducer when they finally appear.
Volvo QL trim tabs. Seastar Hyd steering. The builder is here:

Looking at all the plate in the first shot, I said "wow, hard to imagine that becoming a boat - but the photos sure show it happening. Excellent!
Then again, it is also hard to look at a drum of resin and a bunch of glass cloth and thing "yeah, there's my boat".

You guys make some very cool boats Down Under!
The ballast tubes seem to be in many alloy boats in your neck of the woods. It is a very good idea, is there any downside to having them?

Recutter,
All is good so far. They have been around for a while but Fisher seems to have perfected the system. They act as stringers as they are welded to the cross members & really beef up the structure. The hull is sealed under the deck & is self draining, a point I neglected to mention.
