G'Day Stephen,
You burning the midnight oil? Looks like running out over two tons with a full fuel load & all the junk (coolers, ice, tackle, etc) that always finds it's way on board. Crew will be extra. Builder still promises 40 knots at WOT on a flat track although that is not really a concern as I tend to drive a lot slower.......easier on the back & the wallet.

Default Out of the Fabrication Shed

Getting close now. 99% of the hotwork is complete. Only a couple of minor items such a grabrail next to the throttle to be done.

On the trailer.....barely. Trailer supports have to be adjusted to take weight of boat.

Different angle.

Stern showing transducer mount, Volvo QL Trim Tab plates, ballast tubes, scuppers & assorted holes. Transducer is a 600W through-hull (not shoot-through) & has been mounted on an extension of the planing plank. Didn't mention a planing plank earlier, did I? I did not want any holes in the hull hence mounting the transducer off the transom. Has performed well in this position in trials on another boat.

Inside transom with battery shelf to starboard & live bait tank to port. Two level bait station in the centre.

Looking forward, the bulkhead has been cut to accommodate hyd steering, instruments & flush mounted VHF & AM/FM/CD player to port.

The two open boxes will house the hyd steering pump & all the wiring. There is a lot of stuff to go in here & I had the lower box added to ensure I wasn't forced to jam things in.

Fuel filler. Straight through the floor plate & into the tank. No airlocks............EVER. No fuel gauge to give false readings...........just a graduated dipstick with no moving parts.

Les,
According to my contract it is 5083 H321 Grade. Which really means nothing to me.
Can you give a technical insight into the difference between 5083 & 5086?

Default The saga is nearly complete.

On the trailer, windscreen & rails fitted.

Side on. Hull has been acid washed & sanded. Ready for the decals.

Power plant. Suzuki 175.

Cabin showing hatch & anchor cleat.

Steering wheel & some engine instruments are in.

Seastar hyd unit & the start of a big wiring job.

Eye candy.

"Therapy" has a walk around cab. Back for engine service.

One of the welders is building this monster for himself. Just over 28 feet. No info on HP but there will be plenty.
