James, you got a full tower on that boat right? Meaning, it bolts to the gunwales not the console, correct?

Ryan - just looking for something reasonable and dependable. Hours and compression would let me know the condition.

Chris - No tower. I had that massive Ttop that I sold out of it. I've had thoughts of putting one of those hard tops like you described but that would be down the road. . .

I got the floor glued and screwed down this weekend. Then we had some pretty good showers that kept me from working on Sunday, not to mention a big run in with Kitty Hawk police for parking somewhere there wasn't even a no parking sign and they towed my truck with me standing right there to move it and wouldn't allow me to... Don't want to derail this thread with the rant, but my rights were seriously violated I feel. I didn't bring the camera with me this weekend but I will next weekend. Plan is to fill any gaps along the edges and tab the floor to the sides and then glass the entire deck and even get a layer of finish cloth on top of it all. . . Hopefully it won't be too hot so I'll have working time with the resin and I'll have a couple buddies helping me. I definately feel like I've been doing alot of work!!!!

In response to the off-topic: Lawyer up if you feel it was wrong...my $.02. Don't let something like that go unnoticed by them.

On-topic: I'll ask him if he'd actually sell the motor and what the hours are.

Semi-on-topic: I have a full tower on my boat (23' center console) and while I enjoy getting up there, I enjoying sight casting from up there and I enjoy having Lee Jr's on a center console, it cuts down on fishing space by forcing you to pass the rod outside of the tower leg to get up to the bow if you started in the stern. It also is making me rethink my trolling setup now that I've double-rigged my outriggers and have a center rigger because one of my trolling rod holders on each side (that I previously didn't need to use) is located forward of the aft tower legs...so hooking the line up to a release clip would require some deep thoughts and graceful movements.
Also, your boat appears to be a little shallower V, but at 24deg, my boat has the keen ability to separate the boys from the men in terms of sea sickness, with a tower, an 8'-0" beam and the 24deg at the stern you can anchor up and wait for the green faces even on the calmest of days. Sure gets out there smooth though

Just in case you were waffling on what type of top to go to next...

Did I read it right , you foamed in your fuel tank ? No air space around the Tank.

Ryan, let me know about the motor. I don't think I'm gonna put any sort of tower on the rig initially. My plan is to keep it wide open except for the console. Gonna have large coolers for seating that I can pull in and out. You're right, I don't have that deep of a V. It has a really sharp entry and comes back to a "V" but doesn't have you rocking from side to side at anchor.

I built a box if you notice in the pictures around the tank between the stringers. There is space beneath the bottom of the tank to the hull. I did foam the tank around the edges of the box to keep it from shifting and give it support. There is no foam on the top, just along the sides.

Gonna start another thread for the off topic.

Got the floor glassed in this weekend with some major help from my friend Jeff. Spent a good bit of time today and sanded and faired the sides in. Forgot the camera so i'll get some pix eventually. I took some with my cellphone but don't know how to get them onto a computer. If someone want me to txt them to them and they know how to get them onto a computer let me know.
