Old bridge...I like to favor the western side of the main span all the way to about the 20 span. We were anchored using live croaker. We could have caught a lot more but underestimated how many croaker we would need. Bluefish and crabs kept eating up the damn croakers before the stripers could get at them. Not a red hot bite but very consistent and a lot of fun.

I bet they are under the new bridge to...just haven't been brave enough to try.

capt fred- might just have to give it a shot next time out.

I think most of those marks were rat blackfins and if you chunked you would'nt be able to get a bait pass them. In 4 days of fishing we went thru 15 dozen ballyhoo because of all the small fish. I caught my smallest tuna ever, 8 inches.
All we pulled was big baits because we were looking for you know who.
We pretty much trolled from the 420 to the750 line (Hatteres to the VA buoy). the water conditions sucked, blue water (81 degrees) was to hot and cold water (72 degrees) was just like Mark described.
Mark.............your WELCOMED

We fished 4 days and like always had a blast. Good friends. laughter all day, and stories that we will never forget.
Catching fish is just a bonus.
