Fernando and Mark,

No problems with diesel at all, it's actually in greater supply than gasoline. Diesel is 4.09 per gallon right now. Seems like I filled up somewhere with the Kenworth at 3.80 per gallon, but I think it was a misprint. I wasn't paying attention because I didn't have to pay for it.

Gasoline is running 3.68 at local pumps.

I know you guys are gung-ho, and Fernando is straight ready to go catch some tuna's, but let's consider here.

The water is dirty, still.

Fleet hasn't been out in two weeks, and if they have, there's not 50 charters pounding it out finding the fish.

It's gonna blow NE or W or NW for the next two days, NOAA is just shy of calling small craft all week. Kyle is out there adding to the swell on the bar. Once you get out it's just wind/wave swell, and it won't be non-fishable. I'm bringing my Grunden's tho. And a change of clothes.

Water temp has dropped, but 7 boats boats went out today and caught a bunch of dolphin and 10 total YFT's. Today was prolly the first day they went.

Weather sucks, gas is expensive, this weekend might be good or might not. That NE blow for the last week had to blow the fish down from the north. Had to.

If I was towing from far away, I'd wait till Wednesday to make my call due to weather and see what was caught by the fleet.

Course, I'll be out there Tuesday with Fernando getting beat up. I'm getting too old for this crappy weather. I'll give a report.

BTW, just turned 34 (I think, don't remember anymore) last week. The fact that I can't remember anymore means I'm getting old.

Call me anytime about the fishing....

I'll be watching the reports and hope all you guys do well this week and weekend. Looks like it'll be a couple of weeks before I can get back up there.

Chris, I heard a couple of boats went out yesterday but only caught a couple of tuna. I'm curious to see what that nor'easter did for the fishing. Good luck guys....David

Apparently there was a marlin chasing a tuna this week.

You can't catch 'em from the dock

The boat that caught those 7 tunas was the trophy hunter

I have heard that the crack is OK, but the BRIDGE, is not. I was told one boat grounded, and another, taking the south span, bumped twice. Hope it gets fixed because the channel entering is apparently not much better.

Hope the weather holds up...I may be coming down this weekend to fish with pops. I would like to meet with some of yall but with school I couldn't commit to the event. At least I'll have someone to talk to on the radio...and if I dont end up going, I could probably fill a spot if someone drops out.

Just heard from another source that depth under the main span is ~4ft right now....charter boats have been going 6 spans down to the south to cross.

I talked to Captain Bobby Smith of the Fish-n-Fool this morning and he confirmed the draw is only 4 feet. He said before the blow it was at 12 feet. He said the crack had also closed up some but I did not any details on how much.
