check this out...
me n my buddy "mad mike",we were out tuna fishin on my rig.we hooked up a blue fin and the rod blew up on my buddy mike...but...ol' mad mike there,being the smart guy he is,flips the rod around and battles the beast to the boat...pretty cool huh ??? blue fin,right around the 100lb mark...rod was a freestyle jigging rod from offshore angler and the reel is a penn 16vsx,loaded with 80lb jerry brown with a 100yrd top shot of 80lb floro-wind on set up...
side note...
don't ever purchase from offshore angler,they gave me a hard time about returning the rod-granted it was a lousy $100 but what's up with that ??? those guys suck !!!
i ended up getting shimano trevala rods-nice !!!!


we've had a great year this year on the blue fin in our area...fishing is nothing short of incredible !!!! all big fish too-one day we caught nothing smaller than 60" fish !!!!
