Default First deer, first buck

WELL, after getting into deer hunting three years ago when I came to school, I finally saw a buck. When I started, I said I wanted my first deer to be a buck so I passed up doe after doe and finally grew restless this year. Unloaded on a doe from 120 earlier this year and after it fell, she got up and ran, and all that I found was one large blood mark, a chunk of meat, and chunk of hair??? Guess I hit the shoulder.

Shot this 170# 6 with a shotgun from 45 yds this past saturday. I know it's not a huge 6 but it is unique in that it's horns were very thick and didn't show anymore signs of growth. We think it's about a 4 year old deer.

Nice going. I got a four pointer like that years ago. Real heavy deer and a real heavy 4 point rack. Love the shot of the factory. It's amazing where deer will take up residence.
