With the clean water still way out the hunt for tuna is not in our back yard. We can still get some in the tuna green water but the concentrations are scattered. This being the norm at the time we are still targeting the amberjack and snapper.
I ran on a 33 world cat Friday and we had great luck with both fish. It is always nice to see a young kid get his first fish bigger than a bass and have it be an Amberjack.
Then on Saturday It was more of the same. The head of the company could not make it due to business comitments so his 17yo son came in his place. He got the offshore bug. We could not get any pictures during the day because of the many storms moving through the area but did get some at the dock. We brought in some great fish and released many more including a very large dusky that the angler did a great job keeping him out of the structure and from tangling lines.
All in all it was 2 very good days with a lot of meat for the box and some happy customers. Hunter, second from left in the above picture, is already working on his dad, uncle, and cousin for the next trip.
Life is Good!
Fishing is not a matter of life or death. It is more important than that.
