Ran an overnighter on the 34 cat sportfisher sat night. It was supposed to be on my boat but with the 3-5 forecast I switched to the more comfortable boat and it was the right call. Eased out at 20 mph and set up a spread about 7 in the evening. We only had one bite on the troll and it was a real nice bull dolphin.

Got set up to chunk at night and immediately started jigging up blackfins and then hooked into an 85 pound class yf which joined the dolphin in the fishbox. After that the action slowed way down until around 1230 when Pat hooked up another good yf and teh fight was on. This was just a mean athletic pain in the butt tuna that took over an hour to get in. The fish weighed 87 pounds.

Went back to the rig and the bite was on now as we got another fish that went 84 pounds. Doubled up on the next drift with a pair of smaller yf and then we called it a night and headed for the house. Had a little engine problem on the way in which slowed us down but we made it. Ended the night with five yf and a bunch of blackfin on the jigs.
